return Events SpecC Language Seminar was held.(July/25-26,2000) SpecC Language Seminar was held, where SpecC language and application methods to design embedded software and LSI were introduced. The seminar was held at Toshiba Human Resource Development Center (Shin-Yokohama) on July 25 and 26. The number of participants was greater than the fixed number (20 each day). The program of the seminar and lecturers are as follows, Opening remarks, Gaio Technology Co., Ltd., Y. Kunimine Concept of the system level design, Toshiba Digital Media Engineering Corp., T. Kinoshita Grammar of the SpecC Language, Toshiba Corp., D. Araki Analytical method for system level design based on SpecC technology, Toshiba Corp., T. Ishii Training of SpecC programming, Toshiba Corp., D. Araki Development of embedded software by SpecC language, CATS Co., Ltd., S. Murakami Design of system LSI by SpecC language, Soliton Systems K.K., T. Kinoshita In the morning, methodology of system level design was explained using slides. In the afternoon, participants studied SpecC using equipped personal computers. Schedule was a little bit tight for the lectures which covered from SpecC description to the conversion into embedded software or VHDL. We hope that participants had a feeling of SpecC language. Since there were a large number of participants in this seminar, we are planning to hold this kind of seminars in the near future.
